About The Region
After sampling numerous varieties of coffee, we made the decision to introduce our inaugural Ceremonial Grade Coffee from Kenya, a country renowned for consistently producing exceptional high-quality coffees. Kenyan coffee is highly regarded for its strong body, intense flavor, and captivating aroma. Every sip will transport you to a magical realm where the cultivation of these beans is carried out with utmost care and dedication.
The Ceremonial Grade Process
1Handpicking
There is a total of 513 people (349 men, 164 women) who actively contribute to the annual coffee production in Karatina, Kenya. Once the ripe coffee cherries are hand-picked, they are transported to the local factory for processing.
2Processing
The coffee cherries undergo a traditional washing process and are then placed on raised beds where they dry to a stable level. Next step is 3rd party lab testing to ensure the beans are ultra-clean and are then shipped off to our roaster in the US.
3Roasting & Mineralization
Once at the roaster they are again checked for any defects from shipping and roasted to specification. The final step before they are packaged is remineralization where we wrap the beans in ancient plants, Fulvic and Humic.
