How the Swiss Water® Process Works 

 

Start with hot water and green coffee beans.  The beans soak, and water pulls out everything: caffeine, flavor, and natural compounds.

 

Remove and compost the beans. The water, now saturated, is passed through a carbon filter to trap the caffeine. What remains is called Green Coffee Extract (GCE)—a solution loaded with flavor compounds but no caffeine. 

 

Add fresh green beans to the GCE. The beans begin soaking in the extract. Thanks to a process called diffusion, caffeine naturally moves out of the beans into the caffeine-free GCE—without sacrificing flavor. 

 

Repeat until 99.9% caffeine-free. The GCE is filtered and reused again. Beans are dried, then roasted to perfection.
