yes, it is expensive. but research into toxic molds and pesticides and decide what your health is worth. I personally drink coffee every day, often twice per day. With all the toxic garbage our bodies are exposed to, switching from years of K Pods in a Keurig, to grinding my own healthy beans from Danger, I know at least in this one aspect of my life I am doing something not markedly better for my own health, but also for the health of the planet. I would like to see more sourcing info on the bags of coffee, maybe that is something that can be improved in the future.
